Simply put, zombies are the undisputed best troops in the game, so you want as many as possible. The more zombies you bring, the better your fleet's chance of winning. Zombie fleet size comes from a few different places, and this guide shows you every one of them.
None of the troop expansion boosts apply to zombies. What you have is what you use, at any fleet size.
